António Miguel Sousa Mendes Rajão
António Miguel Sousa Mendes Rajão, completed the Integrated Master in Dentistry in 2016 by Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde. He’s a PhD student in the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences by Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde since 2021, with the thesis/dissertation “Combining polyphenols and probiotics to develop novel synbiotics for treatment and/or prevention of oral candidiasis”. He’s a Tutor in Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário and a dentist having clinical activity, which has provided experience in Dentistry clinical practice, also in the field of oral diseases like fungal infections, which is one of the scopes of his PhD project. Works in the area(s) of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Health Sciences.
Rita Cristina Pais Fidalgo Pereira
Rita Cristina Pais Fidalgo Pereira received her MSc degree in Dental Medicine in 2009, from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Rita is an Invited Professor at Faculdade de Medicina Dentária of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, teaching Dentistry and Preventive Medicine. Postgraduate in Adhesive Dentistry in Composite Resins by IUCS, CESPU in 2018. Attended aesthetic and functional rehabilitation courses in the anterior and posterior sector, rehabilitation of endodontic teeth; basic, clinical and advanced courses in the area of Endodontics and Orthodontics. Currently, Rita is a PhD student in the Biomedical Science Doctoral Program, at IUCS, CESPU.
Valter Raúl da Cunha Fernandes
Válter Fernandes is an Invited Professor of the Post-Graduation Program on Endodontics at IUCS – CESPU, Monitor of the Conservative Dentistry Department at IUCS – CESPU and Member Direction board of the Portuguese Society of Endodontics (2020/2023). His clinical practice is dedicated to Microscopic Endodontics since 2010. Válter received his BSc degree in Dental Medicine in 2008, from Universidade do Porto, and has two post-graduations in Endodontics from IUCS, CESPU (2010) and Universidade de Lisboa (2015). Currently, Válter is a PhD student in the Biomedical Science Doctoral Program, at IUCS, CESPU.
Juliandra Mariana Salumbo André
Juliandra Mariana Salumbro André received her BSc degree in Nursing Sciencies from Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde and Universidade Agostinho Neto, Angola. She is the nursing director at Clínica Multiperfil, Luanda, Angola and a post-graduate student in Health Services Management at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. Currently, Juliandra enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences, at IUCS, CESPU.
João Pedro Nunes Silva
João Silva completed a Degree in Biology in 2016 and a master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2018, both by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Participated as Master Student Fellow in the project "An RNA-based approach to bacterial infection: The function of PNPase and regulatory noncoding RNAs in Listeria virulence". Currently attends the PhD in Ciências Biomédicas by Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário.
Osvaldo António Kiende Lourenço
Osvaldo António Kiende Lourenco is a MD from Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Agostinho Neto, Angola, and a specialist in Cardiology and Echocardiography by Instituto do Coração (InCor) from Faculdade de Medicine of USP, Brazil. He is an Assistant Physician and Head of the Scientific Research Department at Clínica Multiperfil - Centro de Investigação Médico-Cirúrgico de Angola – and member of the Secretariado do Colégio Angolano de Cardiologia. Currently, Osvaldo enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences, at IUCS, CESPU.
Andrea Cunha
Andrea Cunha is Invited Assistant Professor at Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde (IUCS). Andrea is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences, also at IUCS/CESPU. Within the scope of her MSc thesis, she focused her research on the functional and population analysis of genetic polymorphisms affecting genes involved in drug metabolism and transport. Andrea is currently integrated in the cancer research group of the UNIPRO and her research is focused on understanding the relationship between the microenvironment and the metabolism of tumor cells. Within the scope of her research work, she has performed poster communications and oral communications in national and international scientific meetings, which led to a publications.
